I hadn't realized how shadowy it was when I tried on The Hat. Perhaps it was the Goggle Effect. But the pics that Nuchtchas retouched to redden my beard looked great. Then again, she was using a flash.

I hadn't realized that it was a prank that Tee had played on you. I was wondering if it was just something that you were doing to meet people, or to get pictures of them. Now that I think about it, it does sound like Tee.

But without the prank, there wouldn't have been those Billi pics. Was good meeting you, and I look forward to seeing you at Balticon next year.

In my case it was less about the hat and more about your resemblance to <a href="http://babbleradio.com/classic-radio/Orson-Wells/images/orson-welles-cbs.jpg" rel="nofollow">this gent</a> that caught my eye. ;-) Good to see you!

Oh, dear. There was a bounty on the Hat(tm)? And I missed it?

Too busy having interesting conversations. Oh, well.

Actually, I didn't recognize you by The Hat, but by Flickr photos. Including ponytail. The Hat was an extra touch, albeit a classy one.

Some of us, I hasten to note, were NOT spurred on by Tee's challenge, indeed, never heard it. (My involvement with Twitter that weekend consisted of one single dispatch that perhaps vilified Tee as much as doing anything else.) Rather, we thought The Hat (not spelled "The HAT" lest it be confused with Pip's _chapeau_) was _tres_ cool and wanted to see if we could benefit from its magic powers. In my case, Elizabeth (see photo 2) had already loosed it into the wild, so I thought nothing would be lost by appropriating it for a few minutes. Hey, if it worked for her...

Ladies and gentlemen, behold photo 3, one of the best headshots of me I've seen in more than a year. I'm here to tell you: The Hat is Powerful.

I would like to point out I did not steal your truly wonderful hat. But only because it wouldn't fit over my horns.

Very glad to see you at Balticon, and I hope to see you again next year!
